Photographs

We do not use stock photos, and we do not use AI images of real places. The photographs below come from Wikimedia Commons and Flickr under licences that allow reuse with credit, from United States government publications in the public domain, and from the Digital Library of Georgia, which marks its items as having no known copyright in the United States. Some have been cropped and resized for the web. If you are a photographer and something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix or remove it.

The film at the top of the home page is cut from six of the photographs credited on this page. Nothing in it is generated.
