About Gold Rush Dahlonega

Who publishes this guide, what it is not, and how each fact gets checked.

By the Gold Rush Dahlonega Editorial Team. Updated .

An independent visitor guide. Not the festival’s official website.

The short answer

Gold Rush Dahlonega is an independent visitor guide to Gold Rush Days, published by Gold Peach Realty, a real estate brokerage that works in Dahlonega and across North Georgia. It is not the festival’s website and has no tie to the organizer, the city or the visitors bureau. Every date and time here is taken from a primary source and linked.

Who we are

This site is owned and published by Gold Peach Realty. The same questions come up every October: what time is the parade, where do we park, is it still on if it rains. This guide answers them in one place, with a source beside each answer.

We are a business and we say so. If a weekend in Dahlonega makes you curious about living here, the publisher can help with that. Nothing on the festival pages depends on it.

What this site is not

The festival is run by Gold Rush Days Festival, Inc., a volunteer organization. Their website is goldrushdaysfestival.com. Vendor applications, parade entries, nominations, donations and anything official go through them, not through us.

We are also not the City of Dahlonega or the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber and Visitors Bureau. We cannot hold a booth space, change the schedule or answer for a road closure.

How we make this content

  • Every date, time and rule is taken from a primary source: the organizer first, then the city, the visitors bureau, the university and the state historic site.
  • Each fact carries a link to where it came from and the date we last checked it.
  • Where the organizer has not published something, we say so. We do not fill the gap with a guess.
  • AI tools help us draft. Each fact is copied from its source with a link, so you can check it yourself.
  • Articles are signed by the Gold Rush Dahlonega Editorial Team. We do not use pen names.
